Behaviour

Rabbit running through grassRabbits are prey animals and much of their behaviour is based on keeping an eye out for and avoiding predators.  However, they are also quite playful and when happy will often ‘binky’.  This basically means, leap in the air making erratic movements with head and legs and not watching where they will land!

Black and white Dutch rabbits grooming each otherRabbits are highly social and need the companionship of other rabbits.  They need plenty of space to exercise, hiding places to retreat to and look-out posts.  They love to dig so providing them with a sandbox or soil-filled litter tray will help to satisfy this need while saving your lawn or carpet!
